Lois Nicholls
was born in Pietermaritzburg,
KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. She grew up in Howick, a
little country town which has auspiciously positioned
itself as ‘The Hub of the Midlands’. She went to the same
school with the same class from Year 1 to Year 12 and was
hopelessly unprepared for being plucked from the
comfortable bosom of family and friends when she emigrated
to Australia in 1997. Home is now Brisbane, Australia where
she lives with husband, Brenton and children, Keegan, Lara
and Evan.
Over the years Lois has been published in a wide-range of
magazines and newspapers in South Africa, Australia and the
UK. When Lois is not writing, she enjoys garage sales,
painting old furniture white, reading, curling up with a
décor mag and walking her faithful Golden Retriever,
Tarna.
